You and your sensual well-being

When you mention the word erotic, the first thing thatspring to mind is that it is something to do with sex. So, it certainly doeshave a great deal to do with it, but there are many other aspects of sensualitythat do not require a sexual experience.

To understand yourown sensual nature can be of use not just for your sexual experiences, but alsoin understanding yourself as a human being.

It is important toremember that making discoveries about your sensual and erotic feelings are foryour benefit and while these discoveries may serve you well in situationsinvolving love your focus should not be on another person when still trying toget to know yourself.

Try to keep an open mind and do not shy away from your innermost thoughts and feelings; remember that you are not trying to impress anyone, just figure out a little more about who you are.

Once you feel relaxedand ready to devote some time to self-exploration it is time to find out whatyou feel about sensuality from a mental perspective.

After taking the timeto think over what this idea means to you currently you may find out a greatdeal more than you expected to. While a feeling of sensuality often has a lotto do with touch and the physical it often begins first in the mind. Sights, sounds and smells all play an enormous part in how you feel. The wrongsurrounding can destroy this mood regardless of how interested you in apartner, or simply having fun.

Allow your body to relax and simply free float through ideasthat come to you when focusing on sensuality. Practice this until you findcertain ideas, images, situation, or fantasies, which allow you to openly feelsensual and maintain that feeling.

By making use of your freely sensual mind you can improveyour skills at flirting and have an excellent time building toward the physicalas you go.

Each individual will find many different forms of touch thatmay have previously gone unnoticed and have now been transformed into spotsthat could easily create an erotic feeling over the entire body. Knowing whereand how you like to be touched is an essential for the health of your physicalhappiness.

Practicing this transformation and understanding how tosummon this feeling will can help to improve your life in many ways. Becausesensuality touches so many different areas of life, the lack of understandingor fear of such a feeling can cause great unhappiness and insecurity.

Allow yourself the freedom of being open to such feelingsand find the strength to unite the mind, body, and perhaps even soul in yoursensual well-being.

Defining beauty

It is difficult to define beauty . . .

When a person declares what is beautiful forhim or her, they reveal whom they love and how they love, and what they love todo.

Beauty reveals itself over time inrelationship. The people you love are beautiful to you. Their beauty comes fromtheir liveliness and authentic sweetness, their intention to live lives thatmake some sense the spirited coherence of being who they are.

When we are most alive, we are beautiful. When we are in love, we are reminded that we are beautiful. In addition, sometimes when we know we are beautiful, we find ourselves in love. "Inlove" usually means the romantic sense of being with one other person whoin that moment we feel reflects us perfectly. In love, living in the field oflove.

"Love is blind," we say, butperhaps it is more accurate to say love sees with different eyes. Love seesbeyond the surface. Love opens the door for beauty. When we see with the eye,we develop the ability to refine, to judge, to discriminate. When we see withthe heart, we expand the view of what it is to be human, see the common dream, see the wisdom of friends and neighbours, and see there is no separation betweenthat which is most beautiful and the everyday world. The eye of the heart seeswith a wholeness that allows imperfections and idiosyncrasies to coexist withbeauty. The eye of the heart knows surface and depth are not opposites.

Beauty is a process, a revelation, not afinished state.

The power of a positive body and mind

Perfect health depends upon a balance of the trinityruling a body - physical, mental, emotional. You cannot run a healthy mind whenyou have a physical deficit. The mind governs, but the condition of the bodyalso affects the mind.

You must recognize that harmful thought patterns – fear, hatred, anxiety, over sensitivity - originate in brain-cell starvation andbodily fatigue. Positive thinking is utterly impossible in a mind physicallyunder par to a serious extent. If you think that food does not influence yourhusband’s frame of mind, try showing him that new dress before dinner! Now thatyou have learned your bitter lesson about food and disposition, you had bettershow him those new shoes after dinner!

Alternatively, take the husband, whom the doctor has puton a reducing diet. Feed him a low-calorie salad-and-fruit dinner, and a fewhours later he will throw caution to the wind in favour of a Dagwood sandwichdripping with calories. A clean steak, liver, or lamb chop or other proteinfoods will keep your dieting husband from raiding the icebox much more than anynagging on your part.

By making certain that you eat a diet to maintain the properchemical balance in your body, you restore your functional balance and checkthe effects of stress upon your system. Often, by relieving some of thephysical tensions caused by hidden hunger, you can soften the inner climate inwhich you must do your thinking. It is much easier to enlist your conscious ifit is not preoccupied with being hungry.

Stomachs constantly harassed with inferior, inadequate, andindigestible meals become touchy. So does a brain that is constantlyundernourished. The brain in a tired, undernourished, and ill-cared-for body ismost assuredly going to be the brain with the greatest amount of irritability.

An abused, undernourished, harassed body generally houses amind incapable of optimum thinking and reasoning power. As the central powerstation of the body, the brain must be kept in top physical condition throughnatural means so its mental activities can be controlled. Unhealthy thoughthabits have a pretty hard time dwelling in a contented body.

One of the reasons that humans have advanced so much furtherthan animals is that there is very little thinking brain in animals. The basisfor their nervous control is undoubtedly autonomic or automatic. Animalsbreathe, digest food, perform muscular movements without thinking, and showbasic emotional responses - including rage. Like humans, the animal wants todestroy anything threatening his security. The thinking portion of your brainis your cerebrum. As in animals, the basic human emotion is fear. However, pragmatic humans learn to overcome this with correct diet and positive thinking.

Hate, anxiety, and guilt are the emotions causing physicalillness if the thinking brain is not allowed to keep the house in order.Positive thinking restores the criteria of normalcy out of neurotictendencies-freeing you of physical symptoms, letting you progress unhampered bymental conflict, and giving you a satisfactory working capacity .

The positive thinker is able to love someone besideshimself.  Do not confuse love with sex.Sex is love which loves to be loved, and is a subject which desires to possessthe from anything which would hurt itself. It becomes incapable ofunderstanding sacrifice. Pride and sex are psychologically inseparable.

Love can be shown in all relationships - man and wife, father and daughter, mother and son. It is self-surrender because of thenobility of the person loved. Love and humility are inseparable.

The most important factor in your personal health, happiness, and effectiveness depends on whether you can love and are loved morethan you hate. When you love, you give. But when you hate, you can only deprivesomeone of happiness. In addition, happiness is the only thing you can givewithout having.

We must learn to love. We must learn it repeatedly and overagain each day. In addition, we must teach it every day- in everything we do,in every contact with our fellow humans .The destroying power of hate, which noone meant to teach us, comes of itself. It is true that if we say, “I loveyou,” It may be received with doubt, for there are times when it is hard tobelieve.

However, say “I hate you,” and the one spoken to believes itinstantly finally. A thousand times afterward you can say ”I love you” to thatperson – and mean it every time- but it still does not change the fact thatonce you said ”I hate you, ”and meant that, too. Hate can leave a mark on thesurface that love had worn so smooth with its eternal caresses. Love must belearned, and learned repeatedly; there is no end to it. Hate needs noinstruction but waits only to be provoked - and, when it is provoked, rips youapart. Do you want that? Is hating worth the price you must pay?

NO! Hatred expressed hurts those about you; hatred repressedcreates nervousness and symptoms that can simulate almost any physical disease.

Be positive!

Let us talk about happiness and love

Sometimes you wonder what it is that makes you feel so good.Believe it or not but one of the things that makes a person feeling good, ismaking someone else happy – doing something that brings a smile or a shout ofpleasure to someone else’s lips.

There was the little girl who had been sitting listening tothe conversations of the mother’s bridge club and after they were gone, said toher mother, “Mother let us now talk happy”!

Did you ever realize how much of your conversation – andyour thinking – is taken up with harrowing tales about your annoyances, yourrelatives’ annoyances and tragedies, and all the annoyances that go with livingwith an average husband or wife, or having in a cleaning woman, or going to work, or doing your shopping, or what not?

Many persons get themselves more and more neurotic byconstantly indulging in what is often called “post –mortems”; long detaileddescriptions, many times retold, of unpleasantness,  family rows, and sorrows. How much better itwould be for all of us if we would always “talk happy,” and so far as possibleavoid unpleasant topics. What good does it do to keep constantly going backover the stories of unhappiness?

Drain your mind of the worries, the resentments, irritations, guilt reactions, and annoyances that have collected during the dayjust as thoroughly as you pull the stopper in the sink.

Then you can refill it with refreshing thoughts of emotionalmaturity such as these:

- You are going to free yourself from fears, anxieties, andtensions.
- You find greater satisfaction in giving than in receiving.
- You will contribute to the improvement of your home, yourcommunity, your nation, and your world.
- You seek give-and-take relationships to form. You profitfrom your mistakes and successes.
- You use your leisure time creatively.

Recognize hate for the destructive emotional force that itis. Love is the constructive psychological force of a positive mind. Loveresurrects people who have lost life while they live. It is the force thatgives new hope, joy, vitality, and invincibility. Those of you who truly want apowerful new lease on life will find it possible through love and a positivemind.

Love and relationships

Love is like friendship, but the emotions are far moreintense than those we feel for friends. Believing that your partner isextremely important to you, caring and feeling warmth, affection and desire forhim or her are all part of loving someone.

Love means taking risks. There is always a danger of beingrejected when we grow closer to another person and share our deepest feelings, making ourselves vulnerable. When we need to move forward in our relationships,it might be necessary to try new things or to do things differently. For mostof us, this can quite be scary. Although risks do not always work out, they arewell worth taking if our relationships are to grow and thrive.

We must encourage our partners to share their feelings andthoughts with us. Love means learning to accept the differences between eachother, and respecting each other’s ideas, feelings, and attitudes. There willbe times when couples will disagree – this is normal. You will not alwaysadmire and approve of what your partner does or say, and you may not alwaysunderstand him or her.

Love means to allow each other to grow as individuals. Youwill not always be able to or want to do everything together and should keepsome separate interests. Some couples seem to merge into one another, but atrisk of losing their individual identities.

Too many are too keen to give in to their partners, just tokeep their love! However, unhappiness results when one partner gives too muchand is always the one making sacrifices. It is essential to keep a balancebetween giving and receiving.

Our ability to love and be loved depends on our sense ofself-worth and self-esteem. We can only truly love someone else if we love, respect and accept ourselves. If we can strengthen ourselves, we are able tostrengthen our relationship with someone.

Intimacy and relationships

A basic expectation of a relationship is that therelationship must provide us with closeness or intimacy.
However, what does intimacy means? It means to know mypartner very well, be able to communicate on a deeper level, feeling safe andto share secrets. It also means that we can be open with the ones we lovewithout fearing of rejection. Trust is part of intimacy – we must trust eachother; even with our lives!

Unfortunately, the need for intimacy is also a source ofconflict within the relationship as men and women have different opinions andviews of what intimacy indeed is. We all want love and intimacy but we do notsee these two things in the same light.

It is a fact that menand women are from ‘different planets’:

- Men view intimacy in a relationship in terms of power andbring this into the relationship. Money is power for them and therefore theymay show their love through loyalty and providing financially for theirpartners. To be wealthy, is a way of expressing their commitment and caring ina relationship. That is why they are not always able to communicate theirdeepest, intimate feelings to their partners.

- On the other hand, women, often need that personal touch – thoselittle intimate gestures of attention, love, and affection that make them feelspecial and close to their partners. Women are more inclined to demonstratetheir love by means of being warm and affectionate and by expressing theiremotions.

Due to these differences between men and women, inunderstanding intimacy and the different ways in showing it, we need to talk toeach other. If we do not, misunderstandings, which could lead todissatisfaction and anger, are likely to sour any relationship.

What do you expect from a relationship?

All of us have some pre-set expectations when we enter arelationship. It is just human to expect any relationship to work. It is fairto expect companionship from our partners; we expect them to be there for us,talk to us, and listen when we talk. We expect to have fun together andmaintain the friendship we have. We want our partners to accept us for who weare and for how we look. It is fair to expect our relationships to provide asafe haven where we do not feel judged or rejected. It is a basic human need toexperience closeness to someone, to have a sense of belonging to someone else.To be loved!

Unfortunately, both parties in a relationship come into arelationship with their own set of expectations and these expectations aremostly based on their social background and even past experiences ofrelationships. It is obvious that problems and even conflict may arise whenthese expectations clash.

It is therefore imperative to communicate and discuss ourexpectations with our partners and to sort out which are reasonable and which arebased on personal issues. Communication can help us to compromise in order tomove forward with our relationships.

If we are not able to talk about different expectations, resentment and tension are sure to build up which may eventual ruin a beautifulrelationship.

How To Rekindle Your Relationship

Have your relationship with your partnerreach a dead end where everything became automated?

It often happens in any relationship - oneday you just realise you are spending less and less time with your partner andthat your romantic gestures have been reduced to a half-wave as you pass thecoffee in the morning. There is no need for worry, but it is indeed time torekindle the intimacy in your relationship.

First things first -  couples need quality time together and thatbegins with setting aside time for each other that isn’t about work, bills, household chores or the children.

Start with a date night. It can even be athome where the two of you have a romantic evening together without any of thedaily routine present. Do not worry about the dishes, the laundry, and the workthat you brought home from the office – those four or five hours are for thetwo of you alone. Turn off the phone; let your friends and family know thatthis is a 'don’t show up' night. If it is possible, break away from home forthe date night. Be adventurous – go to a motel and rent a room, although youwill not spend the night. Let your imagination run wild.

Remember love tokens – those little giftsof affection that you used to give each other? Do that again. If you both workall week, take turns giving the other one a morning to sleep in and breakfastin bed on the weekends. If you like to write love notes, leave them for eachother to find. The most important thing to rekindle romance in yourrelationship is to remember – you love this person and their smile is what youare working for. So, pick up a single carnation or a box of their favouritecandies or even just a movie that you will enjoy – be thoughtful, be creativeand most of all, remember to be in love.

Life is very short. Make the best of eachprecious moment. Tomorrow can be too late.

How to create and sustain a romantic fire that will endure the test of time itself

Love is just a simple, enjoyable, andromantic process that not only will your mate enjoy, but you will also.

Remember to focus on the words simple, enjoyable, and romantic. In a romantic relationship, the small things are theones that truly count. Keep it simple and sexy, otherwise known as KISS. Whatgood is spending hours looking for the right dress, matching shoes and purse, and getting the newest hairstyle, when a simple, sexy nightie will create thedesired effect so much better? A back massage definitely feels good, but gentlyrunning your fingertips along the back of his neck will send a message that isloud and clear.

Love is there to enjoy. After all, if heenjoys it, he will be back for more. The amount of time invested is not what isimportant, but rather the amount of enjoyment derived from the experience. Whybother spending fifteen minutes listening to his long tirade about his daywhile waiting for your turn to talk, when a simple manoeuvre of slowly liftingyour fork to your mouth, while looking straight at him with a glint in youreye, will get his attention and appreciation so much more quickly?

Romance is in the eye of the beholder.True, you would probably appreciate a single rose and a love note placedsecretly upon your pillow, but it can be guaranteed that he would prefer to seea pair of sporting event tickets strategically placed upon his. In realitythough, everyone wants to know that they are loved and appreciated, so by allmeans, place that little love note in his lunch bag or briefcase.

Whatever you do, add something daily tokeep the fire burning and you will be sure to stay warm at night!

Romance Yourself

Men are not usually the most romanticcreatures. Usually it takes a lot of prompting and training for them to become romanticand to make him realize that you need some romance in your life.

One way to get him to take notice is toromance yourself. You deserve it and if he is not going to do for you, you cando it for yourself. Start out by getting yourself into shape both physicallyand mentally, change what you can and want to change and learn to accept thethings that cannot be changed.

Every woman wants to be a sexy womandeserving of love and romance. Get comfortable with your body and decide thatyou want to have a great love life. Get a makeover; change your hairstyle andeven your hair colour. Pamper yourself - Go for a day at the spa.

Exercise for a strong healthy and sexybody. Take dance classes that really get you moving like a Latin or salsa classor a belly dancing class, something with moves you can use in the bedroom. Even, learn how to be like a stripper that enchants and captivates men. Then goshopping and buy some new stylish and sexy clothing, especially sexy underwearand lingerie.

You should start to feel the changes withinyourself. You should be becoming more confident and feeling sexy. He shouldstart to notice the changes in you too. Maybe he will wonder what is going on. Makehim wonder. Buy yourself flowers, send yourself gifts. Let him wonder ifsomeone else sent them to you. Set the scene for romance with candles, wine anda special dinner for two. I hope that by now he is taking the hint and sendingsome of his own style of romance your way.

If he is still not catching on do not giveup yet. Make the first move with him. Most men love nothing more than havingtheir woman desire them and come after them. Sometimes the hunter really enjoysbecoming the hunted. This will surely make him take notice. Be a littleaggressive with him.

By learning to romance yourself and putyour needs and desires at the top of the list, romance and passion from yourpartner are sure to follow.

The health benefits of being in love

Love has many physical benefits, but it would seem that menand women who are in a relationship get many mental health benefits too. It wasfound that people who had been in a relationship for a few years were lesslikely to be depressed and attempt suicide. Other studies have found similarfindings, stating that married people report lower levels of depression anddistress. Apparently, married men are also half as likely to commit suicide assingle men, and one third as likely as divorced men are.

The mortality rates for single males aged between 30 and 59are two and half times higher than their non-single counterparts! Single womenalso face a 23 percent higher mortality rate than those who are married.Researchers suggest that this difference in longevity is because most singlepeople have poorer health benefits, a lower income and are socially isolated.Being supported and connected to others is an essential part of keepinghealthy.

It’s no coincidence that love is often depicted using aheart shape. A recent study by researchers at the University of Rochester inNew York found that those in a happy relationship are three times more likelyto survive heart surgery. The researchers reported that a good marriage couldbe as beneficial to the heart as quitting smoking, staying at a healthy weightand reducing high blood pressure. Similar findings were found by those at theUniversity of North Carolina and a study in Human Communication Research. Theyboth found that being in love and expressing your emotions had a positiveimpact on cholesterol.
Go out, get somebody to love. We as human beings are made tolove!

It is the little things . . . .

In a true relationship, it is the little things in life thatmakes life worthwhile.

Do not try to impress the love in your life with bigextravagant things. Sometimes we rate ourselves as inadequate if we cannotimpress them with earthy things.

However, stop and smell the roses! Surprize her with some littlegestures, it won’t cost you an arm and a leg, but at the end of the day it willbe transferred to the chest of memories!

Let the grey stuff work overtime – here is some ideas:

·        Dry your sweetheart off  when he or she comes out of the shower.

·        Take your guy out fishing. Now that would be asurprise!

·        What about this one: The boyfriend of a specificlady wanted to have a picnic on a golf course, but after getting permission, itrained for about a week straight. Not giving up he went to her dormitory andborrowed anything green he could from her roommates. This included sheets, blankets and even comforter covers. While she was in his room watching a movie, not having a clue what he was doing, he laid out all the sheets over the floorand couches. He also tacked a blue sheet to the ceiling that he had taped starsand a moon onto it. He set plants around to make it look more"authentic" and they had the picnic of their lives.

This is what live all is about – love changes everything!

Put some romance into your relationship

Romance is a vital aspect of living and loving. It can takemany forms in a relationship, but it's important to try to maintain romanticfeeling throughout to help promote longevity and a happier relationship overall.

It doesn't take a great deal of effort to be romantic. Thesimple things in life can really make a difference to your partner, and canleave you both feeling happy with one another and the relationship.

Romance is just as vital an aspect of any relationship aslove and communication, and it can really define a successful relationship fromone destined for failure. As distinct from love, romance is more of a triviallyexpounded virtue, but one which is essential in creating a feeling of contentand satisfaction in any relationship.

From a kiss on the cheek to an occasionalbunch of flowers, romance is an attribute that few of us naturally possess, butwith a little effort we can all bring to our relationships. There should neverbe any barrier to romance regardless of age or the length of the relationship,it is important for both partners to feel loved and wanted within the contextof that particular relationship, to promote a feeling of overall satisfactionand content.

Romance and romantic behaviour are more symbols of ourappreciation for the companionship and loyalty of our partner. These do nothave to be material gestures, and these can often be seen as attempts to 'buy'love. Rather, it is often more effective to show appreciation by acting in amanner that seems loving and caring towards your partner, whilst activelytrying to be extraordinarily nice in showing your appreciation. Although quitedifficult to express in words, even simple things like holding a door open orcarrying grocery bags can help add to the overall romantic appeal of your relationship.

Adding romance to a relationship doesn't have to be hardwork, and it can actually make things more enjoyable for a couple. By being alittle more considerate and introducing spontaneous and romantic gestures towardseach other, can rekindle the passion and fire within any relationship, leaving bothfeeling a lot happier about each other.

The language of love

Red roses, boxes of chocolates, love letters, diamond rings…….Over the ages, lovers have found and invented many symbolic ways to expresstheir deepest feelings towards someone they love.

One of the most curious and complicated examples of lovers’language evolved in 18th century Turkey. There, the passionatesender would assemble an entire ragbag of items; when painstakingly decoded by thehopeful recipient, they revealed elaborate thoughts and sentiments.

Some of these love packages, secretly delivered by a peddlerwoman, could easily be mistaken for wastebaskets. In addition to certainflowers, with their own traditional meanings, the parcels contained otherobjects, such as charcoal (meaning “May I die and you live long”) or wax (“Iperceive that all the ice of your heart cannot diminish the heat of the fireyou have kindled in mine”)

A well-known traveller and letter-writer of the time, LadyMary Wortley Montagu, learned about this extraordinary language during her stayin Constantinople. She wrote to a friend:”There is no colour, no flower, noweed, no fruit, herb, pebble or feather that has not a verse belonging to it.”

No one seems to know who introduced such language intoWestern Europe, but within a few years it had become the craze of fashionablelovers in Germany, France, and England. By that time, however, the objects hadbeen eliminated from the packages and only the flowers remained.

Until the end of the 19th century, this romanticand colourful flower language captivated young and old. Many books were devotedto the subject, and publishers vied with each other to produce the mostup-to-the–minute dictionary.

One such volume, published in England in 1866, boasted theinclusion of several new entries and their meanings - including 30 blossomsfrom the conservatory and greenhouse, so that lovers would not be “condemnedduring the long winter months to floral silence. Unfortunately, thedictionaries did not always agree on definitions, and decoding a bouquetinvolved many potential traps and misunderstandings. For example, it was oftendifficult to be certain that the yellow rose meant “infidelity,” and a spray oforange blossom, “Your purity equals your loveliness.”

By the 1880’s the fashion for using flowers as a languagehad died out. Today many would argue even after all these years; red roses arestill given as expressions of love.

And no doubt in a spring meadow somewhere in the worldtoday, a beautiful woman is stripping petals off daisies while musing”He lovesme, ………He loves me not……. He loves me.”

Love your body

A lot of women believe that to feel good about their bodies, they need to be a certain size, shape and weight. But in reality, bodysatisfaction and dissatisfaction come in various shapes, sizes and ages.

Women waste such a lot of precious time on wishing ourbodies were better, slimmer, taller etc, etc. When what we should be doing, isfinding a way to enjoy our bodies' best features today.

It's not to say that you don't need to aim at leading abalanced life of eating well and exercising, but we should accept what wecannot change or accept our bodies as they are if we are not going to dosomething that will change it.

Look at yourself differently

Stand in front of afull length mirror and try to find three things you like about your body shapeDon't give up on this step. If at first you don't succeed, keep trying.

Write it down positive things about yourself

Write the three things you do like on a piece of paper andstick it onto your full length mirror. So often we fall into the same oldpatterns of criticising ourselves. We need constant reminders about thepositives until it becomes second nature.

Practise makes perfect

Repeat the three positives to yourself every day. Continueto do this for 30 days. A bad habit can only be broken with a repetition of agood one.

Clean up your clutter

Give away all your clothing that doesn't fit you today. It'sno use keeping a "fat" or a "thin" wardrobe. If yourfavorite "thin skirt" is hanging in your wardrobe and you constantlytell yourself you are "too fat" to wear it, you are filling your mindwith negative thoughts. If you are on a health and wellness plan and on yourway to your goal weight, pack those items away until you can wear them. It'sequally important to give away clothes that are too big for you. Holding ontothem will just leave you the option of fitting into them.

Have a change of wardrobe

Learn what suits your shape now. When you learn how to dressfor the shape you have, you feel better about yourself and more often than not, make better and healthier decisions for yourself. Women who learn to dress fortheir shape, feel great and then lose the weight.

Loving your body as it is today is not an easy thing toachieve, but it really is worth a try. Life is simply too short and tooprecious to waste it on wishing you were something you are not. Enjoy your bodyfor all that it is and you might be surprised at what it can become.
